Dhelkaya Health Partners with Kinaway!
Overview of the Partner’s business
Dhelkaya Health is proud to be a corporate partner of Kinaway, working together to strengthen commercial relationships with First Nations businesses. Through this partnership, Kinaway connects Dhelkaya Health with Indigenous-owned enterprises—such as Printing with Purpose, the company that supplied and configured our staff lanyards.
In addition to facilitating these First Nations business connections, Kinaway also delivers ongoing cultural learning opportunities for Dhelkaya Health staff. These include "Lunch and Learn" sessions on topics such as Blak Cladding in Procurement, Anti-Racism, Cultural Awareness, and Understanding Cultural Safety, helping to foster a more inclusive, informed, and culturally safe workplace.
Engagement with the Indigenous sector & actions toward reconciliation
We are currently implementing our second phase Reconciliation Action Plan (Innovate) , supported by a strong Reconciliation Committee that includes Traditional Owners and First Nations community members.
An Aboriginal Employment Plan should be finalised in November, guiding targeted workforce strategies. Programs such as "Welcome to Baby" reflect our commitment to culturally safe care.
Our procurement policy includes clear targets to increase engagement with Indigenous businesses and strengthen economic participation.

Dhelkaya Health RAP
As Dhelkaya enter the Innovate stage of our Reconciliation Action Plan, the Aboriginal Health Team has noticed positive cultural progression throughout Dhelkaya. Some may recognise the artwork from our last phase of Reconciliation – Reflect, where the artwork showed green meaning growth and healing.
Aunty Kerri Douglass asked Dhelkaya health to reflect on the colour change as an act of reciprocity, the Aboriginal Health team decided on blue, purple and violet. What does our colour change mean? The Blue representing calmness and trust, that Dhelkaya has built with Castlemaine’s First Nations community and surrounding areas. The Purple is the Creativity and Spirituality, embracing on our new cultural journey of truth telling and understanding, The violet meaning Wisdom and sensitivity as Dhelkaya continue to learn through traditional owners and First Nations community members.
