The theme this year is Growth.

  • New Growth: Just like a seedling breaking through the soil, new growth in First Nations businesses represents hope, resilience, and the ever expanding potential for greatness. It's a testament to the creativity, determination, and innovation that Aboriginal and Torres-Strait Islander bring to the table. By celebrating new growth, we inspire others to pursue their dreams and create positive change in their communities. You can't be what you can't see.

  • The growth of First Nations businesses isn't just about profits; it's about empowering Indigenous communities economically. It means more jobs, more opportunities, and a stronger foundation for future generations. When we celebrate this growth, we're contributing to the economic sovereignty and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

  • Community Impact: Growth in Indigenous businesses ripples through our communities. It enables us to give back, support local initiatives, and foster social change. These businesses often prioritise environmental sustainability and cultural preservation, ensuring that growth aligns with the values and traditions of our people.

  • Celebrating growth shines a spotlight on the incredible achievements of First Nations entrepreneurs. It shows the world what's possible when we invest in Indigenous talent and potential. It's a chance to recognise and honour the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that goes into building and expanding these businesses.
