We’re The Bendigo Cleaning Company, an awardwinning, ethical cleaning business that’s regularly featured in industry magazines. With more than 80 cleaners, technicians and supervisors based in central Bendigo, we’re the region’s largest cleaning company and can respond quickly and easily to any cleaning need. We service government, commercial, health and community sites, with a focus on reliable, safe, highquality cleaning.

Engagement with the Indigenous sector & actions toward reconciliation

We’re still early in our journey. So far, we’ve been learning, listening and looking at how to bring Indigenousowned suppliers and businesses into our daytoday operations. Our aim is to move toward practical actions like Indigenous employment pathways and Indigenousfocused procurement targets as our relationships grow.

Why did the Partner sign up with Kinaway?

We joined Kinaway because we wanted a real, practical way to work with Aboriginal businesses in Victoria, not just talk about it. Kinaway is a key voice for Indigenous businesses, so partnering with them helps us connect with certified businesses and understand how we can support them in a meaningful, longterm way.

What is the Partner’s mission or aim in supporting the Indigenous economy? How will Kinaway member businesses benefit from this partnership?

Our goal is to direct more of our spending and opportunities to Aboriginal businesses so more value stays in local communities through jobs and business growth. Kinaway members can benefit by getting visibility with our team, accessing employment and partnership opportunities, and building ongoing working relationships with us.

We see this partnership as a way to build a stronger and more diverse local supply chain, and to learn how to work with Indigenous businesses and communities in a respectful and effective way. It also helps us grow as a business – improving our cultural understanding, our social impact and the quality and resilience of the services we deliver.
