Black cladding continues to affect the Aboriginal business sector, and many members have told us they are seeing signs of it in their own industries and networks. Kinaway is inviting members to join a focused conversation about these experiences and to help shape how we understand and respond to black cladding across our community.
These round table sessions are designed to bring members, Directors, and the Kinaway team together to talk openly about what black cladding looks like in practice, what indicators are most important to pay attention to, and what early steps can help protect genuine Aboriginal ownership and control.
What we will explore
• How black cladding is showing up across different industries
• Experiences and insights members are willing to share
• Practical signs and indicators that may help early identification
• What prevention could look like in a real business setting
• How Kinaway can best support members in raising or responding to concerns
These conversations are an important part of shaping Kinaway’s approach. Your insights will directly inform the Board’s understanding of the issue and the direction of our future work.
Session format
Sessions will be offered both online and in person to ensure members in all locations can participate. Each session will run for one hour and will be held in a small group setting to support meaningful and respectful discussion. Directors and senior members of the Kinaway team will participate in each session.
