Building Capacity and Understanding Racism Workshop Hosted by Lawrence Moser - 'Racism and the Aboriginal Experience: Fact or Fiction?'

Kinaway invites all members of our community including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, Corporate Partners, allies, government representatives, and community organisations to join this important and engaging workshop hosted by Lawrence Moser.

Together, we will explore the ways racism shows up in our communities and workplaces, and how we can all play a role in creating safer, stronger, and more culturally informed spaces for First Peoples.

This interactive session delivered by Lawrence Moser will cover the following key focus areas:

  1. Understanding Racism – Building awareness of racism and its local impacts

  2. First Peoples History and Culture – Promoting understanding of history, culture, and colonisation impacts

  3. Capacity Building – Supporting community organisations to respond to racism and support affected individuals

  4. Reporting and Rights – Improving reporting and awareness of rights
