The Acknowledging Country Workshop is an interactive session hosted by Ash Bartley and is designed as a safe space to learn, build and deliver authentic Aboriginal engagement through Acknowledging Country.
The workshop will clarify the difference between a Welcome to Country and an Acknowledgement, who is permitted to give them, and how to perform an Acknowledgement of the Country you stand on in a culturally respectful manner.

Ash Bartley is a Bwgcolman Ewamian woman who is passionate about strengthening opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through business, partnerships, and economic development. She has extensive experience working with Indigenous businesses, Traditional Owner groups, and organisations across government and industry to build culturally respectful engagement and support sustainable economic outcomes on Country.
Ash facilitates practical and engaging workshops that create safe spaces for honest conversations about culture, history, and working respectfully with First Nations people. Drawing on her lived experience and professional background, she helps organisations build confidence to engage authentically with Aboriginal communities and contribute to stronger Indigenous participation in the economy.
